
Hanna Breunig is a Staff Scientist and Deputy of the Systems and Energy Technologies Analysis Department at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She specializes in validation of emerging materials and systems for energy technologies using process design and modeling, computational material screening, and impact assessment. She is co-director of the U.S. DOE REMI consortium on energy materials innovation, focused on materials for the separation and storage of nutrients, gases, and critical materials. She holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley.
